I do not have any idea why, but I am more calm tonight than I was last night. I must admit that I was a little shook up when our big Defenseman Schmidy (#37) went down yesterday. He has been my anchor in so many ways, he is a truly gifted leader, and he is a Warrior. The cool thing is that we didn’t lose his leadership today. In fact it was right there for all to see.
I know we have two main things that will help me prepare for tomorrow. One is that I believe we are hungry still. Today was nice, but it was not enough. We are not happy “just to be here”, we want it all. The other thing which encourages me is that this is truly a family. Win or lose tomorrow we are that.
