| The Guardian uses the same rubber fusion technology as the STX Deuce and G-Force before it. Basically, it is an overstated Eclipse. It has a little bigger face, a more drastic taper and a strong throat with a handy place for your top hand to sit. The Guardian is a little heavier thanks to the extra rubber. Also, its face is so big that it can be sometimes hard to string a good pocket in it without really loosening the sidewalls (something we hate). Just looking at it, the Guardian has one of the largest catching areas on the market for all goalie heads. For Eclipse-lovers who are ready to take the next step without going to the off-set shape of the Nemesis and others, the Guardian will be good for you.
