The Brine Blueprint is not proclaimed by Brine to be the next step in head Evolution, but they do call it, "a brand new design geared for players at all positions". It is legal for NFHS play only. The face and throat are on the narrow side. This head looks very much like the Clutch when all is said and done. The offset is proclaimed to be the maximum allowed and has a fairly standard look from the side. It does have perhaps a little more forward curve than the Clutch, and it has fewer stringing holes in the bottom of the sidewall, but it also comes at a little smaller price. We are calling it sort of a 'poor man's Clutch.

The head face has a bit of the box or Canadian pinched look, good for accuracy as well as ball retention. The shape promotes having a pocket that sits above the center of the head. This same feature is a big part of why the Clutch became so popular and the Clutch style remains a winner with many players.

The scoop is minimized, thin and narrow, measuring only a little over 3Ž4² in width. This one is not a Hoover when it comes to vacuuming up the balls on the ground. The weight of the Blueprint is a very light 133 grams. The scoop is flatter than some of the other high performance heads made now that integrate a radical curve at the top of the scoop to promote pinpoint accuracy.

The sidewalls are straight up and down. The throat is not that long where it attaches to the shaft, moving the hand up towards the pocket area, a little higher than some to promote perhaps a little better ball feel when it is in the pocket.

We recommend the Blueprint for attack and midfielders as well, but may not be the best choice for the aggressive defensive player. You can save a few bucks ($20ish) on the Blueprint.

SCOOP RATING - Fair.

STRINGING - The Blueprint has a pretty standard set up for stringing.

STIFFNESS - The Blueprint is average in terms of stiffness. Brine advertises it as stiff and lightweight, but we don't think it is particularly stiff.
