Brine Clutch Superlight

The Clutch Superlight uses the gas-injected technology to make a feather light version of the Brine Clutch. This head is legal for NFHS but not NCAA play. The head weighs only about 116 grams. The sidewalls are straight. There is no flare in at the bottom like there is in the Clutch 2. It is more in line with the original Clutch, the one first made in 2007 and that has been a very popular choice for the offensive minded laxer ever since.

The scoop design features recessed holes. The throat is identical to the original Clutch. This head is pretty much just the Clutch, but the gas injection makes it incredibly light, and, again, there are several things that make it different from the Clutch 2, so when choosing a Clutch for 2011 be sure to know which of the gears you are in for a stick that matches the kind of performance you are looking for.

We recommend the Clutch Superlight for attackmen, offensive minded players looking for the ultimate in light. The head design sets up well for the higher pocket style, and remember that the opening dimensions of the face make for a little smaller catching area than the X models. This puts a little more of a premium on catching skill.

SCOOP RATING - Above average. The scoop angle is steep, good for pickin up grounders.

STRINGING - All the Clutches have lots of holes for the stringing.

STIFFNESS - This is not a stiff head.

ROCK-IT POCKET LEATHER: - Our leathers are 100% real hide, which is durable and resistant to water. These leathers are strong and do not sag in humid conditions.

ROCK-IT POCKET & MESH MATERIALS: - We use a high quality nylon string for the middle part of our Rock-it Pockets and the sidewall/trim of our mesh pockets.

LACES: - We carry a variaty of hard, soft, 6 diamond, goalie hard and goalie 12 diamond mesh. The mesh we use is the most common type of mesh used in the game.

MESH MATERIALS: - Jima Lax supplies us with colored hockey laces we use on our mesh pockets. These laces can be used on Rock-it Pockets, but we recomend our high quality (default) laces that come only in white.
