Manufactured for 2005, the E3 is offset, identical to the lines of the very successful Brine Edge, which was the first fully offset head. The profile look of the E3 is slightly different from the Edge on the bottom of the sidewall, however. Its design makes this head more rigid and strong, not floppy. The head is sculpted in a pro or throat pinched style, meaning it is narrower down near the scoop. The inside of the wall is fairly straight with no inward angle taper to speak of. The weight range for the E3 is about 155 grams, making it a little heavier than some. It is about 20 grams heavier than the Cyber. The scoop is thinner and not as wide as many other Brine models. It has the basic old Edge scoop. The E3 is a good choice for both long poles and short. Good for long poles because of the flat scoop and good for shorties because of its narrow throat. The E3 is fairly stiff like the Edge, and there are still lots of defensemen around who rely on the Edge, a head design over ten years old. Since the E3 came out, it has been one of Brine's best-sellers because of its reliablity.
