Brine takes another swipe at a Mikey Powell design with the Voyce in 2008. Very similar to MP's old Swerve, the Voyce is fairly light and is pretty much exclusively engineered for attackmen and offensive midfielders. The Voyce is VERY offset, giving it kind of an old-school, Edge-like feel. Where the Swerve angles back forward midway up the sidewalls, the Voyce is straight all the way, though it does come back forward slightly in a straight line. The Voyce weighs 133 grams and is fairly open. Like most Brine heads, it is stiff and bends very little from side to side. Combine that with a flatter-than-most scoop and the Voyce will perform pretty well on groundballs. The face has a decent pinch to it, which will also help with ball retention. This is the most striking similarity to the Swerve besides the overall look and feel of the head. We like the Voyce, but despite being marketed as a Mikey Powell creation, it may actually appeal more to an older generation that prefers the straighter sidewall to the curved ones seen in most Warrior heads.
