| Gait's Asylum head was first produced for the 2006/2007 year and has a very unique look. The sidewalls are fairly strong and siff, which depdning on your preference, could make this a good face-off head. the most notable thing about the Asylum is the shape of the sidewalls, which are most narrow in the middle of hte head. Both faces, front and back, are flared out more than the middle of the sidewall, which resembles the old Warrior Blades fairly strongly. The Asylum has well-protected and numerous stringing holes. Like many of the new Gait heads, it is "built for mesh," but our Rock-it Pocket fits in nicely as well. The top stringing holes are well-placed and seem to have a bit of a lift at the very top, the effect of which is likely intended to help lift the ball out at the release. From the profile, the head is straight and does not curve like many heads on the market now. While the head is fairly light at 150 grams, the overall shape is slightly bulky and it appears that this head is a transition for Gait into something a little more manageable in the future. We don't anticipate this head having many breakage problems, however.
