Gait has reprised one of its all time best sellers with the Torque Pro for 2008 - and this one will fit on Gait's new TOS (10 degree Transfer Offset System). Much like Warrior's "Pro" series heads, the Torque Pro is pretty similar to the original Torque with some tighter lines. The biggest difference right off the bat (besides the Torque Pro's usage of the TOS)is that the Torque Pro has wings coming in from the sidewalls. This serves three purposes: (1) to give plenty of stringing options, (2) to protect the sidewall strings and (3) to narrow the face of the head and increase ball-retention. In almost all other aspects, the Torque Pro is virtually identical to the original. It actually weighs about 5 grams MORE than the Torque (133g), which is surprising since the throat is slightly more streamlined. In truth, we can't see a lot of difference in overall head shape. We take this as a good thing because the Torque has been one of our favorite heads since it came out in 2004. Just like the STX Crankshaft series, the TOS gives a great feel of the ball in the head and could even increase shot velocity. Like the Warrior "Pro" heads, make sure you keep an eye on this so it does not get pinched too far. Any after market alterations like pinching or baking will cause this thing to be too narrow. Note: This head is only suitable for use with the Gait TOS Offset Handles (DB803 TOS and Silencer TOS) or STX Crankshaft Titanium and 7075 10 degree handles.
