The Harrow Variable is one of the more ambitious head designs out there. Released in 2006, it off-sets, but not until nearly down at the scoop of the stick. This gives a strange sensation while cradling. Our Dog Pocket seems to fit in this head the best. Our test model had a Classic Rock-it Pocket and it threw surprisingly well.
For those who like the old, non-off-set head designs, the Variable will be a throwback. We originally thought it would be hard to move this head design, but it has a good overall shape and curve to the scoop. After testing and throwing with it, it is hard to say much bad about it, but those who are used to the severe off-set and pinched head models might find it hard to adjust to.
