The Warrior Blade 2.0 is a reincarnation of one of the most popular heads ever made by the company. What started as a head designed for attackmen with superior ball-retention, the Blade became a cult favorite for face-off men everywhere. Thankfully for those who were trying to make their surplus of old Blades last for thier entire career, the Blade 2.0 comes to the rescue in 2008. Not as radical as the original Blade was, especially when it first hit the marketplace, the 2.0 retains much of what made the first generation so popular. The original Blade was the first with flared sidewalls and the 2.0 sticks with the winning formula this time around as well. The 2.0 is not nearly as pinched as the original, though it wouldn't take much after market alterations to make these identical to the old ones (note: baking your head voids warranties so do so at your own risk!). The 2.0 is also slightly stiffer than the old Blades, but really is pretty much the same head. Similar to Warrior's popular Stiffi, the Blade 2.0's rear face near the throat is a little wider, which should alleviate some penalties that were incurred when the ball would get stuck in the throat (Bill McGlone rule). It has a fairly sharp curve, meaning that the head will tend to have a little more whip than others. The Blade 2.0 weighs 140 grams.
