The Evolyte meets NFHS specifications, but the throat is too narrow for it to meet the 2010 NCAA specs. It is legal for high school and club lacrosse play only. The new Evolyte uses the Noz nitrogen injected technology in producing this incarnation of the Evolution, Warrior's all-time best selling head model. At about 120 grams it is extremely light, The shape and styling is exactly like the Evolution 2.0 The sidewalls do not flare inward at the bottom at all. They are straight up and down. The scoop blade is flat and thin for ball great ball scooping.

I would not rate the Evolyte as a stiff head, but it is light as a feather. It is hard to have it both ways, as in featherweight with rigid durability features.

The Evolyte has the Warrior patented step-back, but only in the throat behind the ball stop, so there is not that much protecting the stringing from wear and tear that leads to fraying. The stringing holes are fairly standard, the same as the predecessor line of Evos. The holes will accommodate leathers as well.

The Evolyte is definitely set up to have a pocket that sits in the center of the head, but it is possible to place the deep or sweet spot on either an upper or a lower than center location. I would describe it as a well-balanced head design.

The Warrior Evolyte is a great choice for the serious offensive minded player, and particularly attack men. It is thin everywhere in order to achieve that maximum lightness. I do have concern about its overall durability, and it is important to get the head properly onto the shaft, and to take care when putting this head on the shaft. You might want to put a little tape around that area to help prevent any cracks from happening, too.

The plastic is quite shiny and, like the Noz, the Evolyte dyes up very well.

ROCK-IT POCKET LEATHER: - Our leathers are 100% real hide, which is durable and resistant to water. These leathers are strong and do not sag in humid conditions.

ROCK-IT POCKET & MESH MATERIALS: - We use a high quality nylon string for the middle part of our Rock-it Pockets and the sidewall/trim of our mesh pockets.

LACES: - We carry a variaty of hard, soft, 6 diamond, goalie hard and goalie 12 diamond mesh. The mesh we use is the most common type of mesh used in the game.

MESH MATERIALS: - Jima Lax supplies us with colored hockey laces we use on our mesh pockets. These laces can be used on Rock-it Pockets, but we recomend our high quality (default) laces that come only in white.
