At 118 grams this is pretty much as light as it gets. The Warrior Evolyte X is legal for all levels of play. The X is very much like the Evolyte, but it has the wider throat to make it legal at the NCAA level. The opening at the top of the head definitely flirts with pushing the 6.5 minimum to be legal in the NFHS rule book, so if you are a high school player this is something you must be aware of and monitor.

The X uses the nitrogen injected technology to achieve extreme lightness while maintaining its shape very well. The scoop has a strong curve so that less head is touching the ground when placed on the ground.

The bottom of the sidewall is flared ever so slightly in the middle part of the sidewall, but other than these few differences the Evolyte X is very close to the original Evolyte in look and feel.

The Evolyte X has good balance and the pocket sits well in the center of the head while also versatile enough to move up or down to a player's taste. We recommend this head for the player that wants the ultimate in light. This is an offensive minded design.

STRINGING - There are enough holes, but it is not as multi-holed as many others are now. It is fairly easy to string up.

STIFFNESS - Quite stiff for how light it is.

ROCK-IT POCKET LEATHER: - Our leathers are 100% real hide, which is durable and resistant to water. These leathers are strong and do not sag in humid conditions.

ROCK-IT POCKET & MESH MATERIALS: - We use a high quality nylon string for the middle part of our Rock-it Pockets and the sidewall/trim of our mesh pockets.

LACES: - We carry a variaty of hard, soft, 6 diamond, goalie hard and goalie 12 diamond mesh. The mesh we use is the most common type of mesh used in the game.

MESH MATERIALS: - Jima Lax supplies us with colored hockey laces we use on our mesh pockets. These laces can be used on Rock-it Pockets, but we recomend our high quality (default) laces that come only in white.
