| Warrior's second edition to it's Titanium Infused line is the Evo Ti. The Evo Ti shows Warrior's continued efforts at innovation and combines many of the company's popular features from heads past. Just like the Warrior Stiffi, the Evo Ti features a titanium rod running along the top beam of the sidewalls. The effect of this is a rigid throat that theoretically allows for greater velocity on throws since the plastic won't give as much when torqued. Forgetting for a moment about the titanium rod, the Evo Ti very closely resembles the Evolution 2.0, Helix and Evo Pro, in that order. More than any of Warrior's recent heads, however, it is not as radically curved. Rather, it features a very "Brine-esque" straight offset look, albeit with a small curve. It appears at first glance that Warrior took the Evolution 2.0 and flared the sidewalls in just a bit. There is also a small "twist" in the sidewall and outward flaring on the back of the head, reminiscent of the Helix, but not as pronounced. Then they tightened the face up a little and threw in the titanium to get where they are now. The Evo Ti is nearly identical in weight to the Stiffi, weighing in at 154 grams, so it's not extremely light. However, it is very streamlined and features Warrior's patented recessed channel for sidewall and bottom strings. This protects the sidewalls from fraying and improves the overall life of the pocket. With its steep offset, the Evo Ti will likely be able to generate extra velocity on shots. However, that also makes the head slightly more difficult to throw with for beginners. The natural curve of this head will shift the pocket into the mid-high portion of the head unless you make a concerted effort to keep it in the throat. Look for the Evo Ti to be a solid addition for mostly attackmen and midfielders. Defensemen who like the idea of the titanium rod will most likely be more happy with the Stiffi.
