The Warrior Nemesis came out several years ago to the general acclaim of the lacrosse population and has endeared itself to goalies as one of the quality heads on the market ever since. With a compact feel and smart sidewall design, the Nemesis stays true to many of the principles that has made Warrior’s other heads popular over the last decade or so. Its sturdy construction gives it a solid feel that holds up well over time.

Thanks to its offset design, this head allows for a high level of control. The Nemesis is not offset at the throat, but rather about 1/4 of the way up. It has inward flared sidewalls (much like the Blade or Razer) that seem to deflect shots and passes directly into the middle of the pocket.

The Nemesis doesn’t have the overall surface area of the STX Eclipse, especially on the back side of the head, but with the flaring sidewalls the two heads appear to be pretty similar. The overall shape of the Nemesis is egg-like as the throat and scoop are narrower than the middle and top of the head. The natural way in which the pocket sits in the head creates a channel that inspired our Goal-Ex pocket. We really like the way that the Goal-Ex sits in the Nemesis compared to some of the other goalie heads out there.

Having a rounded scoop and offset goalie head can present some problems as sometimes it can be difficult to pick up a ball on the run. Shaped somewhat like a spade, if this head comes in contact with the ground at too much of an angle, it will dig into the dirt or grass. It seems to be fine on the newer artificial grasses.

The throat is well-constructed and seems to be immune to the breaks and cracks that are sometimes common on other goalie heads where it connects with the handle. Whether intentional or not, the throat also has a handy groove that sits well between the thumb and forefinger of the goalie.

We recommend this head to goalies of all levels. Its weight range is about 480 grams strung with the Goal-Ex pocket.
